What Makes Up the SmartSump
The SmartSump crawl space sump pump is equipped with a high quality, 1/3 horsepower cast-iron Zoeller pump and automatic float switch. The sump pump, sump pump basin, and sump pump cover have been built to fit snugly with our CleanSpace crawl space vapor barrier for an airtight seal and dry crawl space environment!

Most people do not enter their crawl space very often.  If there’s a plumbing leak, it may be weeks or even months before you’re aware of it! The unique design of the SmartSump's crawl space pump lid includes a built-in alarm that sounds off when it comes in contact with water. As the alarm sounds, the water is already flowing down a special airtight floor drain into the basin where the sump pump discharges it from the house. The airtight drain keeps damp, musty air from rising up and adding humidity to the crawl space. The alarm also alerts you to sump pump failure as well as power outages.  If you have a crawl space dehumidifier, a knockout hole is also available that can accept the water it drains.

Optional Battery Back-up Sump Pump Protection
The SmartSump is available with or without an optional UltraSump battery back-up pumping system. Our UltraSump provides your sump pump system with a second pump in case of primary pump failure and a second switch, in case of switch failure.  You also have an additional power source, in case the original sump pump becomes accidentally unplugged, a circuit trips,  there is a power outage during a large storm, or there is some other power outage when you need the pump most.

The UltraSump can pump over 10,000 gallons of water out of your crawl space from the energy stored in the special sealed, long-term standby battery. The battery backup sump pump’s special charging system keeps the battery charged, and an alarm is equipped to tell you when the secondary pump is operating.
